The story of Kavos restaurant
A good fishιng day in Kavo Kalogria in 1989 was the reason for starting the Kavos Tavern, in the same village I was born and raised, in Achladi Fthiotida. The spot I chose, a breath of the wave, combines natural beauty with easy access to fresh fish.
Achladi is a picturesque fishing village full of olives and cypresses with an extensive sandy beach east and west of the natural harbor. At the point where the Almiropotamos flows into the sea, a significant wetland is formed on the western sandy beach.

"KAVOS" has received worldwide recognition from the Canadian Airways magazine AIR CANADA® en Royte, which ranked our restaurant among the 5 best restaurants in Greece for the quality of the fish we serve, through Alan Richman's story on "our big fat greek food odyssey".
ONLY FRESH AND HOME GROWN PRODUCTS
In our restaurant we serve fresh and only fresh fish, extra virgin olive oil from our own olive groves, vegetables from our own gardens and traditionally baked bread.

Fresh and very tasty sea food!

Fresh fish and sea food. We tried gavros (anchovy) & koutsomoura (gossip) fishes, both fresh and we'll prepared. They serve huge portions of traditional Greek salad and fresh french fries.

Visiting this restaurant for many years, since the first time, always has the same quality of products and food. The fishes there are always fresh, while the rest of the dishes are always made on time. It is one of the best and of high quality spots in the area, while the stuff is very friendly and always ready to help. The restaurant is a family owned one that affects positively the interaction with the clients in terms of quality services (food and accommodation). It is always nice to have a chat with the owners. It is worthy a try even if you are passing by and want to have some rest while sitting next to the sea.

We never miss a chance to stop at Κάβος Restaurant on our trips between Athens and Thessaloniki, even if we're not hungry! This amazing fish taverna right by the sparkling sea offers stunning views and even better food. The seafood is always fresh and delicious, with perfectly cooked fish, tasty grilled octopus, and mouthwatering calamari. The flavors are fantastic, and the price is reasonable. If you’re traveling between Athens and Thessaloniki, you have to check out Κάβος. It’s a hidden gem we can't recommend enough!
